Metro 100 Career Exploration

Metro 100 is a one-credit course exploring options for convertingyour experiences in life, workand community-based traininginto credit toward a bachelor’s degree.
This is an online class that meetsone or two times a semester and runs about 7 weeks.  
Over the past two years thiscourse has helped studentexplore their next steps ineducation and their career!  

Benefits for course participants:

• A free course to apply toward any Metro State bachelor's level degree or transfer toward any Minnesota State institution.  
• Career-planning focus: Participants will assess their strengths, knowledge, and experiences toward goal setting, career options, and potential education pathways, including earning credit through prior learning assessment (PLA) and self-directed learning.  
• Personalized support: a safe space to assess knowledge, build career/educational goals, leverage pathways and gain renewed confidence in achieving clear goals.   
• Access to resources: Participants will become “Visiting Students” with access to benefits including: library resources, student support and consultation with subject-matter experts during enrollment in Metro 100.
